Slow Cooker Beer Sausage

This was another simple recipe that I kinda winged it after seeing an image on Pinterest. Unfortunately, the link on Pinterst was a spam link and didn’t go to the actual recipe. So I guessed everything off of the picture and it turned out really good. Here is what you need:

– two packages (with 5 each in package) of the beer bratwursts
– 3 tbsp olive oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 medium onion, chopped
– 3 cans of your favorite beer ( I used Dos Equis)

Heat the olive oil in a pan. Pierce the casings on the sausge with a fork and brown on each side. Remove the sausages and add the onion into the pan, sauteeing for about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and sautee another 30 seconds – 1 minute. Be sure not to burn the garlic. Remove from heat. In a crock pot, first put in the sausage. Then add the garlic and onions on top, allowing some the sausage grease to also drizzle onto the sausages. Pour the beer over the sausage, enough to cover all the sausages. Cook on high heat for 4-5 hours or low heat for 6-7. Your kitchen will smell sooo good.
